About Me
Hi, I’m Glynn Hodson, a photographer based in Manchester with a passion for storytelling through photography and video. My journey with photography began 4-5 years ago and became a professional path around 2-3 years ago, but it started with my early interest in graphic design, which I studied in college. It was there I discovered my love for photo manipulation and editing, blending real-life moments with a unique, creative touch.
My professional experience began with the UK’s leading event photography specialist, TakeThatPhoto, where I worked as a Photoshop editor and gained a hands-on understanding of creating memorable moments for clients and students. Working with TakeThatPhoto instilled a passion for impactful photography, and from there, I went on to shoot with my own Sony A7 IV, eventually managing their social media. In 2023, I made the leap to focus on my own career and have since had the chance to work with brands like Thermos UK, Jack Links beef jerky, and Bolton Stadium Hotel (Radisson Hotels) while expanding into wedding photography and videography.
In addition, my partner Amelia and I run The Mane Image, an equine photography business. From horse shows to equine camps and photoshoots, we bring out the spirit and beauty of equestrian life. We have worked with an amazing brand called GS Equestrian, creating event reels, lifestyle photos and social media content.
For me, every image is a story told through editing and an eye for what feels visually pleasing. My work is about capturing the beauty I see and creating stories that resonate. This year, I also started my YouTube channel to document my journey and share my love for photography. I’m excited to bring my passion and experience to every project and create visuals that connect.
Well, enough about the creative side about me… I love gaming, especially competitive games like Rainbow Six Siege and Rocket League. I must say I could have gone pro back in the day with the older Call Of Duty like Advanced Warfare! (I tell everyone that anyway haha…). I only play on Xbox but I was looking deep into custom PC’s but I’m not the smartest when it comes to all the specs, lol. I also love being outdoors whether that’s going on a hike, walking the dogs or just watching the sunset. Sunset orange is my favourite colour!
