A Snowy Photowalk at Rivington
Have you ever set out on an adventure expecting one thing and ending up with something completely different? That’s exactly how our latest photowalk vlog turned out. Snow-covered hills, product photography, drone shots, and much more!
Starting the Day
I met up with my friend Steven to explore Rivington on a cold, snowy morning (Saturday 11th January 2025). The plan? Capture some winter landscapes, try out some product photography, and test out Steven’s drone skills.
The snow at Rivington was breathtaking, but it also came with its challenges. Icy paths and unpredictable weather meant we had to stay flexible, adapting our plans as we drove and walked. That’s the beauty of photowalks—you never know what’s going to happen.
Capturing the Moments
Despite the challenges, we managed to capture some incredible shots. The soft light reflecting off the snow created the perfect setting for some moody product photography. Shooting in the snow isn’t always easy, but it’s worth it for the unique textures and atmosphere it adds to your photos.
Steven also launched his drone to get a bird’s-eye view of the landscape. Watching the snow-covered trees and trails from above was stunning! Drone photography adds such a cool perspective to any shoot, and Steven’s shots didn’t disappoint.
Why Photowalks Matter
This photowalk wasn’t just about the photos. It was about getting outside, spending time with a friend, and enjoying the process. That’s a message I try to share often: the value of just getting out there. Whether the shots turn out perfect or not, the act of exploring and creating is what truly matters.
